Prices: Credit Packages and Credits per Job
At EcuPrime the cost is calculated in credits: you buy a package and each job uses a set number of credits. Uploading your file to see the ECU identified and the applicable operations is free.

What is the annual licence? It is the renewal fee paid every year after the package's first purchase; each renewal loads the package's credits to your account again.
Gift for new accounts: 2 credits — enough for a first car/motorcycle Stage 1 file.
Credits are charged only on successful delivery; a job that cannot be delivered is refunded.

Credits
Credits per job
Stage 1 and module jobs
A module job costs 1 credit (any number of modules in one job); Stage 1 costs 2 credits for cars/bikes and 3 credits for trucks, tractors and construction machines. No credit is charged for a job without a result.
Checksum
Checksum correction happens inside the platform, in a separate tab: 1 credit, charged only when the result is ready. Some newer-generation ECUs (RSA-signed) need an external tool; the system detects this and warns you.

Frequently asked questions
How is the price calculated?
A module job costs 1 credit (any number of modules in one job); Stage 1 costs 2 credits for cars/bikes and 3 credits for trucks, tractors and construction machines. No credit is charged for a job without a result. A package is bought once and renewed every year with the annual licence. The pre-check is free.
Is the pre-check free?
Yes. With a free account you can upload your file and see your ECU identified and the operations that apply to your file without spending credits. Credits are used only when you start an operation, and refunded if it cannot be delivered.
What happens if one of my selected operations cannot be applied?
The file is not delivered and the credit is refunded. You are told which operation could not be applied.
Am I charged for an operation that is already in my file?
No. If the analysis detects that an operation is already applied in your file, its card cannot be selected and the request is rejected without charging a credit. The same rule applies to operations that are partly applied or whose state cannot be determined.
Will I see in advance if an operation will not fully fit my file?
If the analysis predicts that the solution will only partly fit your file, the operation card says 'partly applied' before you select it. This is a prediction; the outcome is stated in the delivery report.
Is the checksum corrected in the delivered file?
No. The checksum is not corrected in the processed file, so the file is not ready to be written as it is. Before writing, correct the checksum in the PrimeChecksum tab, or write the file with your reading tool if it corrects the checksum while writing.
