EcuPrime · Chiptuning Studio — please read before using the service.
Parties, Definitions and Formation of the Agreement
This agreement is concluded between PRİME ARGE TEKNOLOJİ YAZILIM LTD. ŞTİ. (“EcuPrime”) and the natural or legal person who opens an EcuPrime account (the “User”) at the moment it is accepted electronically during registration. EcuPrime's company details and contact information are given on the Contact page.
Definitions — Original file: the unmodified ECU software read from the vehicle. Output file: the file with modified software produced as the result of the service. Operation: a software modification made to the file, such as a Stage, emission system solutions or fault code solutions. Credit: the prepaid unit of the service fee. Package / licence: the vehicle type and usage authorisation assigned to the account.
The service is intended for professional users — chiptuning workshops, service centres and dealers. Where the User acts for commercial or professional purposes, the relationship is governed by the Turkish Code of Obligations No. 6098 and the Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102; consumer legislation does not apply.
To open an account you must be at least 18 years old and have the capacity to discern. A person opening an account on behalf of a legal entity declares that they are authorised to represent that legal entity. Keeping the information given at registration accurate and up to date is the User's obligation.
Emissions & Road Use Warning
Modified ECU files produced by this platform are intended for race track, off-road, agricultural/heavy machinery, experimental and export use only.
Disabling emission control systems such as DPF/EGR/SCR (AdBlue)/lambda/catalyst for public-road use in many countries is against the law.
Legal responsibility for using the vehicle on public roads belongs entirely to the user.
It is for the user to assess whether the vehicle and the change made to it comply with emissions, roadworthiness-test and traffic law, and to obtain official authorisation where this is required.
The declaration that emissions-related operations are requested only for uses the law permits is taken at registration and kept together with the text version in force at that moment. For accounts that have not made this declaration, or where the system setting requires it, some operations (for example switching off fault codes) additionally ask for the declaration at the start of the operation: without it the operation is not carried out, and the declaration given is kept in the job record.
Writing a wrong or incompatible file can permanently damage the ECU; keep a backup of the original file in your own environment before writing to the vehicle.
Scope
These terms govern the use of EcuPrime — Chiptuning Studio. The service is intended for professional use: reading the file from the vehicle and writing it back is done by the user with the user's own hardware; EcuPrime applies the software change to the uploaded file and makes the output available for download.
EcuPrime performs no physical work on the vehicle, does not connect to the vehicle and does not test it on the road or on a track.
Your Right to Use the Files You Upload
You declare that you are entitled to use and copy every file you upload and to have it modified. If the file is not yours, you must have obtained the necessary permission from the vehicle owner or the rights holder.
Do not upload software obtained in breach of its licence terms or copied without permission.
Responsibility for any infringement claim arising from uploading a file to the service lies with the user who uploaded it.
User Responsibilities Before Flashing
Selecting the correct vehicle, the correct ECU and the correct operation is the user's responsibility. Automatic identification is an aid; the final check is yours.
Before writing to the vehicle, keep a complete, readable backup of the original file (ORI) in your own environment. Without a backup, going back may be impossible.
Suitable read/write hardware, up-to-date interface software and an uninterrupted power supply (battery/charger) throughout the operation are the user's responsibility.
Before writing the output to the vehicle, check the file size, the ECU match and the warnings in the job report. If the report carries a "review" or "could not be verified" warning, do not write the file to the vehicle.
The write operation and its consequences are under the user's own control and responsibility; hardware failure, interruption or selecting the wrong file during the operation are risks on the user's side.
ECU, Vehicle and Hardware Damage
Writing the output file to the vehicle is the User's own act. The ECU locking up, failing to start or not responding (brick) during or after reading or writing, failure of the ECU or other control units, and the costs of repairing, replacing, reprogramming and recovering them are borne by the User.
Wear, faults and damage arising after the software modification in the engine, turbo, gearbox, clutch, injectors, exhaust after-treatment systems and other mechanical or electronic parts; loss of the manufacturer's warranty; reduction in the vehicle's value; loss of earnings while the vehicle cannot be used; and claims of third parties are the User's responsibility.
A software modification changes the vehicle's performance, fuel consumption, emission values and driving characteristics. The User acknowledges that they are aware of the possible effects of these changes on the life of the vehicle and its parts and that they assume this risk of their own free will.
A later software update by the vehicle manufacturer or a service centre may reverse the modification or cause incompatibility; the resulting consequences are borne by the User.
Where the User uses the service for their own customer's vehicle, informing the vehicle owner of these risks and obtaining their consent is the User's obligation. Any amounts EcuPrime is obliged to pay because of a claim by the vehicle owner or a third party are recoverable from the User.
Unlawful Use and Indemnity
Software solutions relating to emission control systems (DPF, EGR, SCR/AdBlue, catalytic converter, lambda, NOx and similar) and fault code solutions are contrary to the law in many countries, including Türkiye, for vehicles used on public roads; they may lead to consequences such as failing the vehicle inspection, administrative fines and the vehicle being taken off the road.
The User accepts and declares that they choose these operations at their own request and of their own free will; that they have themselves checked whether the operation complies with the law of the country where the vehicle is located and used; and that all administrative, criminal and legal consequences of any unlawful use are borne solely by the User.
EcuPrime only applies to the file the software modification requested by the User. It does not know, cannot control and does not take part in where and how the vehicle will be used.
If a claim is brought against EcuPrime by an official authority, a vehicle owner or a third party because of the User's unlawful use, the User holds EcuPrime harmless from such claims and pays, on first written demand, any penalty, compensation, court costs and attorney's fees EcuPrime is obliged to pay.
Upon the request of a competent authority or where required by law, EcuPrime may share the relevant operation and account records with the competent authorities.
Nature of the Service and Limits of Any Guarantee
The output of the service is not an automatic guarantee of compatibility or success for every vehicle and every condition. Different software versions, calibrations and hardware options within the same ECU family can behave differently.
In return, the system is deliberately cautious: an operation that has not been measured as fitting your file is not offered to you as an option.
Every output produced is measured again after writing; a result that cannot be verified is either not delivered or is clearly labelled as "review / preliminary output".
If even one of the operations you selected cannot be applied, the file is not delivered and the credit used is refunded.
For a file with no suitable solution you can open a support request; no commitment is given as to how quickly such a request will be met.
Checksum
Checksum correction is a separate service and is not added automatically to a coding delivery.
On modern signed ECUs (for example the MED17 / EDC17 / MG1 class) the checksum is not corrected by the system; an external tool or your own device is needed instead. The system detects the families it knows and warns you.
On an unrecognised ECU no checksum is written: no blind correction is made. Verifying the checksum state with your own tool before writing to the vehicle is the user's responsibility.
Account, Licence and Credits
Licence and package (vehicle type) permissions are bound to your account; use beyond those permissions is blocked. Do not share your account with others.
The user is responsible for account security (password, session, device); tell us immediately if you notice unauthorised access.
Credits depend on the package you bought; every deduction and every refund is written to the credit ledger and can be followed from your account.
Dealer accounts are subject to the same credit and quota rules as customer accounts when running an operation.
Fees, Credits, Right of Withdrawal and Refunds
The service fee is paid with credits. The name, price and number of credits of each credit package are shown before the payment step; credits are added to the account once the payment is confirmed. Before every operation, its credit cost and your balance are shown.
Credits, packages and licences are services performed instantly in electronic form and intangible goods delivered instantly. Therefore, under Article 15 of the Distance Contracts Regulation, there is no right of withdrawal.
The price of purchased credits, packages and software licences is not refunded; credits cannot be converted into cash or transferred to another account. If use is ended before a licence expires, no refund is made for the remaining period.
Under the system's rules, if even one of the operations you selected cannot be applied, the file is not delivered and the credits deducted for that job are returned to your account as credits; other jobs the system cannot deliver or complete are also refunded in credits. Credit refunds are not converted into money.
A delivered output file cannot be returned on the grounds that it has not been written to a vehicle or used, or that it did not meet expectations. If you believe there is a technical problem with a delivered file, open a support request; the request will be reviewed.
Welcome and trial credits are given free of charge; they cannot be converted into cash or transferred, and may be withdrawn if there are signs of abuse.
If a technical error occurs during payment, such as a duplicate charge or the payment not being reflected in the account, the matter is reviewed and any amount collected in excess is refunded.
If a payment is disputed without justification after the service has been received (chargeback), EcuPrime may suspend the account, withdraw credits in the corresponding amount and pursue its claim through legal means.
Suspension of the Account, Termination and Changes to the Service
The User may request the closure of their account at any time. Closing the account does not give rise to a refund for unused credits.
In the event of a breach of this agreement, the intellectual property provisions or the law, sharing of the account, a payment dispute, abuse of the system or attempts to collect data by automated means, EcuPrime may suspend the account or terminate the agreement without prior notice. In that case no refund is made for unused credits.
EcuPrime may change, with effect for the future, the scope of the service, the list of supported vehicles and ECUs, the credit costs of operations and the package prices. A change does not affect operations completed before the change.
EcuPrime's obligation to perform is suspended for the duration of interruptions caused by maintenance, updates, or internet or infrastructure providers, and of force majeure events such as natural disasters, epidemics, war, cyber attacks and legislative changes.
Uploaded Files and Confidentiality
The files you upload are stored on our servers in order to provide the service, verify the output and keep a record of the job; they are not made accessible to other customers.
At present no automatic deletion period is set; records are deleted manually by an administrator. When a retention period is decided it will be announced on this page.
If you want your files deleted, you can ask for this at the contact address below.
EcuPrime's Intellectual Property and Trade Secrets
The solution library and the proprietary solution data within it (stored segments, formulas, variant matches), the identification data, the non-public implementation of the checksum engine and the related methods and documents are confidential and protected information of EcuPrime.
It is prohibited to attempt to reverse-engineer this information, to extract data in bulk with automated tools through the output, the card list, the catalogue or the interface, or to reproduce, pass on to third parties or redistribute it.
You may use the output file delivered to you in your own work; that use gives you no right over the solution itself or over the data in the library.
Trademarks & Image Credits
Third-party vehicle and ECU brand names, logos and images remain the property of their respective owners. They are used on this site for identification and attribution only — to show which vehicle and ECU are supported.
This use does not mean that any partnership, approval, sponsorship, dealership or authorised representation exists between EcuPrime and the brand owner.
For brands with no freely licensed logo, or whose logo could not be identified with certainty, no logo is shown — only the brand name.
Mandatory licence and attribution notices are not removed or hidden. The credits list below is the notice those licences require; these images remain credited here for as long as they are used on the site.
The logos below are taken from Wikimedia Commons under a CC BY-SA licence; they were cropped and resized, and these copies are provided under the same licence. The other logos come from versions published by the brand owner itself or from freely licensed Wikimedia Commons files; the source of every file is on record and is shared on request.
If you are a rights holder and want an image removed or a credit corrected, write to us at the contact address below; we will review the request and act on it.
Limits of Liability and Rights That Cannot Be Waived
Loss arising from the user's write operation on the vehicle, from the use of the vehicle and from use contrary to the applicable rules rests with the user, to the extent the law allows.
EcuPrime, for its part, accepts its responsibility for the security of the service, the protection of data, performing the work it has undertaken properly and its own legal obligations.
To the extent permitted by law, EcuPrime's liability arising from this agreement is limited to the amount corresponding to the credits paid by the User for the operation that caused the damage. Indirect damages, loss of profit and loss of business are not covered by this liability.
Nothing in these terms may be read as removing or limiting rights that cannot be waived under the applicable law — consumer rights, liability for intent and gross negligence, liability for life and bodily integrity, and rights relating to personal data. If a provision is invalid on that ground, only that provision does not apply and the rest of the terms remain in force.
Personal Data
Data we process: your account details (email, name or company name, phone, the vehicle types you work with, language preference), the ECU files you upload and the outputs produced from them (a file may contain the vehicle identification number), session and security records (IP address, browser information), records of the declarations and permissions you give, your support correspondence, and your order and credit records.
This data is used to open and protect your account, to process the file you upload and provide the output to you, to keep job and credit records, to answer your support requests and to keep the service secure.
Database backups are stored on Google Drive. Google Tag Manager is loaded on public pages; Google's analytics and advertising storage is off by default and is turned on only if you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. No analytics tag is loaded on the login, panel and Studio pages.
Marketing communications (offers and announcements) are sent only if you give separate permission; you can withdraw it at any time under My Profile › Notification Consents. Password, order, delivery and support messages do not depend on this permission.
To access your data or to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, write to the contact address below. The declarations you make at registration are kept together with the text version, time, language and IP address.
Evidence, Notices, Governing Law and Disputes
The parties accept that EcuPrime's server records, job reports, credit ledger, declaration and consent records and electronic correspondence constitute evidence in disputes arising from this agreement under Article 193 of the Code of Civil Procedure No. 6100; the right to submit counter-evidence is reserved.
Notices sent to the User's registered email address or to the account panel are deemed to have been given. The User may not transfer their rights and obligations under this agreement to third parties without EcuPrime's written consent.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. For disputes with Users acting for commercial or professional purposes, the courts and enforcement offices of the place where EcuPrime's head office is located have jurisdiction.
Users acting as consumers may apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee within the monetary limits announced each year, and to the Consumer Court for disputes exceeding those limits.
Credit purchases are additionally subject to the Distance Sales Agreement. This agreement applies together with the Distance Sales Agreement, the Privacy Policy and the Personal Data Notice.
Changes and Version
This text may be updated. The version in force is shown at the end of the page; your acceptance is recorded together with the version in force at that moment.
On a material change the version is advanced; an acceptance given for an earlier version does not cover the new text.
By using the service you declare that you have read, understood and accepted the terms and the legal notice above. Your acceptance is recorded together with the text version in force at that moment.
